Is It Morning Yet Where You Are?

Event Identity, Art Direction, Motion Graphics

Is It Morning Yet Where You Are? was a duo-thesis exhibition created in collaboration with a fellow artist, Tobias Kazantsev, that showcased ceramic bowls, forged steel spoons, welded steel and paper lamps and ebonized tables to transform the gallery space into an intimate dining experience, all made by hand.

The naturally occurring textures of the event– the stippling of hand-forged spoons, the fibers of the lamps’ oil paper, the roughness of hand-built bowls and the grain of the table– inform the visual identity’s themes on warmth and humanness. Imperfections in printed animation, intentional variations in graphic elements, and fibers of paper invitations capture the charm of hosting a dinner party.
